Welcome to the fifth annual “SWING FOR LIFE” golf tournament, presented by Reliance Healthcare, hosted by New Life Church. For the past four years this tournament has raised over $52,000 in support of Orphan Ministries. The primary function of the ministry is uniting prospective adoptive families with orphan children in Faulkner County and across the globe. The ministry is divided between a Faulkner Country chapter and an international arm.

Local Ministry Outreach:

Children of Arkansas Loved for a Lifetime, The C.A.L.L., has been operational in Faulkner Country for over a year. The financial assistance provided by this tournament has enabled The CALL to recruit, certify and retain Christian foster families and assist with the adoption of children in need. During the first year the number of foster families willing to assist underprivileged children has doubled in the Faulkner County area and the numbers continue to increase. With each new family we are closer to reaching the goal of no child in Faulkner County waiting for a home in foster care. Additional activities include providing ‘back to school’ shoes for the foster care children and expanding the ministry by providing a C.A.L.L. mall where C.A.L.L. families can shop for child care items, free of charge.

International Ministry Outreach:

This year, ministry teams will assemble and travel to Ethiopia, Russia and China. The trip will include the restoration of local orphanages and spreading the love of Christ to the children in the area. Each year this tournament enables multiple projects during the trip (i.e. building playgrounds, painting and supplies). In 2010, The Refuge was able to donate a water purification system to the Noel Orphanage in Rwanda. These children are drinking clean water because of your donations and willingness to support this ministry.
